Bachelor Recap: Bachelorette Season 19, Episode Four

Parisian Dates & Anxious Tendencies

This week was a week of highs and lows. As we joined Gabby and the new front runner Jason on their Parisian date and watched the fireworks fly! We also saw Rachel struggle emotionally with rejection.

In today’s episode of the Bachelorette Season 19 Episode Four Recap, I am going to talk more intently about the things Jason did right on his date with Gabby, particularly the way he was vulnerable without oversharing and the compassionate listening signals he gave Gabby that drew her in.

Perhaps you struggle with first dates. You’ve been given that you’re too closed off or you overshared and it was “too much” for a first date. Perhaps you’ve been told that you didn’t make the person feel like you were really “engaged” on the date. If any of these things sound familiar, this is a great episode to tune into. (ps Married folks struggle with these things on dates too)

Rachel on the other hand is not having a great time. She’s starting to show some very classic signs of “anxious attachment style” or as we call it here, ‘Nervous Nora.’ Remember, I was a ‘Nervous Nora’ too, so I very much identify.

If you or partner also have anxious attachment this is a great episode to watch (or watch together) as I unpack these real-life examples of anxious attachment playing out, and what things you can do to help overcome these challenges.

Season 19 of The Bachelorette is really heating up! Can’t wait to share more insights with you.
